Another year is coming to a close. As we look forward to 2023, now is the time to recognize what we were blessed to accomplish, and set goals for the year ahead… all of which wouldn’t have been possible without our many partners, colleagues, and supporters.

In 2022, Paster Properties has had the opportunity to welcome dozens of new tenants, sign exciting new leases, and get started on a host of promising projects. We’ve traveled the country, seeking the latest trends in commercial real estate development and impactful design, and worked diligently to build stronger communities in the Twin Cities.

Here’s some highlights of what our team, working in lockstep with local communities and business owners, was able to achieve in 2022.

Westside Wine & Spirits offers a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits, plus a gourmet market and a well-stocked tasting bar. You’ll also discover curated pairing recommendations for snacks, cheeses, treats, and other delicacies.

Brookie’s Fish Market

Brookie’s Fish Market is a community-focused fresh fish and seafood market loaded to the gills with high-quality products and years upon years of expertise. Stop by to pick up an entree (and perhaps some advice) for that special gathering or holiday party!

Lily Nails

Treat yourself to a well-deserved spa day at Lily Nails. Manicures, pedicures, and more are available as gifts for that special someone… or for yourself! You’ll walk away feeling pampered, refreshed, and ready to face the world with confidence.

Judith McGrann & Friends Women’s Boutique

Judith McGrann & Friends has officially moved to its new location! After nearly 40 years of operation in the Twin Cities, its new home at Texa-Tonka continues to offer a broad array of women’s clothing, jewelry, gifts, and accessories for a wide range of body types.

The Skin Standard

The Skin Standard treats conditions ranging from acne to rosacea using special enzymes that rejuvenate and revitalize your skin. The focus here isn’t on buzzwords and trendy treatments–it’s on inspiring a well-rounded lifestyle to support long-term skin health. Opening soon!

The Latest From Sibley Plaza

Wandering Leaf Brewing

The newest brewery on the block is almost here–Wandering Leaf Brewing is currently under construction. Once it opens, Wandering Leaf will feature a medley of craft brews, community events, live music, and more!

Level Up Games

From new video game releases to collectible trading card games, Level Up Games helps Twin Cities locals stay connected with the latest and greatest entertainment franchises. You can buy, trade, and participate in local meet-ups!

Soul Lao

Soul Lao has long been a popular food truck, delighting Twin Cities locals with home-cooked Laotian flavors. They’re now planning to open their first permanent location in Sibley Plaza next to the brewery, so be sure to stop by later in spring 2023 for a unique and delicious bite to eat.

New Leases Around Town

Centro Taco at Ford & Cleveland

Everyone loves a good taco, and we’re proud to welcome Centro Taco & Tequila to Ford & Cleveland in 2023 (Now Under Construction). Enjoy mouth-watering modern Mexican cuisine in a fast-casual atmosphere, sip a cocktail or mocktail, and support their mission to create an equitable culture for every employee.

Caribou Coffee at 7/41 Crossings

We are now under construction of a new drive thru Caribou Coffee at 7/41 Crossings, set to open spring/summer 2023 In the meantime, stop by for some scrumptious comfort food from North Coop, or take home a unique pizza pie from Lulu’s Pizzeria which also is a new tenant in 2022.

Stalk & Spade – 50th Street Plaza Edina

Stalk & Spade’s second location has officially opened at 50th Street Plaza in Edina. Stop by for your next meal and find out how yummy plant-based foods can taste! It’s so good, you won’t even miss the meat.

Our Latest Development and Acquisition Projects in the Twin Cities

Midline Apartments

Now open is this 154-unit multi-family development, located at the intersection of University Avenue and Hampden Avenue, offers easy green-line access to downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, and downtown St. Paul. Midline is also located in the exciting Chroma Zone, an eclectic mix of artists and buildings that showcase creative art. Find out more on the Midline website.

Volo Apartments

Volo Apartments is a 112-unit apartment and townhome development in the heart of St. Louis Park’s Texa Tonka neighborhood adjacent to the Texa Tonka shopping center. It offers residents cutting-edge amenities and close proximity to parks, walking trails, restaurants and coffee shops. Volo will be fully open to residents in the coming weeks! Tyler Street Stacks

This mixed-use project in the NE Minneapolis Arts District is under construction and will offer a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, plus 5,000 square feet of commercial space. Tyler Street Stacks will also provide a rich amenities package including a fitness center, coworking space, a coffee and tea bar, and more.

Selby at Snelling

The latest acquisition by Paster Properties is located in the desirable and charming intersection of Selby & Snelling. Stop by Rose Street Patisserie to enjoy the Twin Cities’ best French pastries for breakfast or lunch. We are excited for the opportunity to be a part of this eclectic commercial district.

Mendota Plaza

We are currently working with neighbors, city staff, and designers to ideate on ways to create greater connectivity between the retail space at Mendota Plaza, the current and future multifamily projects, and the surrounding natural landscape. Our vision includes adding more restaurant and beverage businesses, thoughtful outdoor seating and green space areas, and better connections to walking trails, bike paths, and more. Lakeville Crossing

You may have noticed some heavy construction at Lakeville Crossing! We are currently renovating the former Kowalski’s Lakeville location with a new national retail anchor. Stay tuned in 2023 for updates!

Where Is Paster Properties Headed in 2023?

Our leadership team is always searching for new ideas and inspiration. We recently had the opportunity to pay a visit to two other cities that have been thought-leaders in urban development and design: Portland and Seattle.

We saw some truly transformative developments first-hand, and we’re excited to translate some of that inspiration into building better community spaces in the Twin Cities. We’ve been extremely active over the course of the past few years in both acquisitions and development, and we’re grateful to have a passionate team behind us.

To keep up our growth in 2023, we’re looking to make that team stronger!

Stay tuned for announcements about hiring opportunities within our existing portfolio and our development business. In January 2023, we will begin our search for a senior level asset/portfolio manager to join our team and be a part of our growth plans.
